Genre: Young Adult Fiction.

Synopsis: Annabel’s the youngest of three sisters, and has just had a bitter falling out with her best friend. Suddenly Annabel is friendless and isolated from everyone at school and even from her family. But then her world changes dramatically when she meets Owen, a loner who is passionate about music and his weekly radio show. He’s an oddball determined to confess the truth always–no matter how badly she doesn’t want to hear it. A friendship begins to bind them together. With any luck, having Owen by her side, Annabel just might be able to confess a sordid truth that cleaved her world in two.

Review: Just Listen is a phenomenal novel enjoyable for young adults. It follows two main characters, Annabel, and Owen, as they both attempt to navigate life’s ups and downs. Annabel is a struggling teenager who has a grisly truth that must be confessed, but fear holds her back. With Owen’s help she begins to feel human again and less like the girl who had her world torn to shambles one dreadful night.

This novel is a nerve wracking adventure sure to make your heart race, your stomach twist, your tears pour, and your mind explode.
